    Private Classes

    About

Gabriel Rainho also offers private classes in BJJ and No-Gi Grappling. In one on one sessions, Gabriel adapts techniques to suit the individual’s strengths and weaknesses. The private sessions usually start with a review of previously learned techniques, followed by the introduction of new techniques. You will then learn how to combine these techniques in a series of development drills. Private lessons can also focus on competition preparation, depending on the student’s needs.

    About

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art that focuses on groundfighting, in addition to throwing techniques which are taught standing. No punches and kicks, but locks and strangling techniques are used. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using effective technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint-locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent. Sparring and drilling play a major role in training. In MMA (MixedMartial Arts), BJJ techniques are regularly and effectively used. BJJ is trained with a kimono.
